Another hot and humid day is fueling strong thunderstorms in some areas to end the weekend in New Jersey with a strong thunderstorm passing through south Jersey.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Camden County and parts of Atlantic, Gloucester and Salem for a storm with 60 MPH winds and possibly dropping quarter-size hail.

Late Sunday afternoon a cell developed in along the Shore in the Wall-Toms River area that caused flooding on the Garden State Parkway around exit #83 that caused flooding in several lanes and slowed the weekend ride home.

Storms also formed along Interstate 80 in Morris County around 5:00 p.m.  moving northeast with 40 MPH winds and hail with another cell in Burlington County.

More storms are expected to pop up as thee evening goes on.

During the late morning cells formed in New York and in Northeast Pennsylvania and moved to the northeast towards New England and away from New Jersey.

The storms are also responsible for 3 hour delays on arrivals & departures from Newark. 2 hours from Kennedy & Laguardia and 90 minutes to-and-from Philadelphia.

Temperatures are well into the 80s on Sunday with a cold front heading our away from the west. The front could bring straight line winds and hail anywhere along the East Coast from Washington, D.C., to northern Maine with some isolated strong cells forming.

The Storm Prediction Center is not ruling out possible tornadoes for the east coast.
