Students target Icahn in casino conversion controversy
ATLANTIC CITY (AP) — Students at Stockton University and members of a casino workers union are protesting against Trump Entertainment's move to block the conversion of the former Showboat casino into a college campus.
About 150 protesters rallied against billionaire Carl Icahn on the boardwalk.
Icahn is acquiring the company, but a whole lot of headaches come along with the deal.
The activist investor is taking intense flak from casino workers and college students who see him as the dark hand holding back the struggling seaside gambling resort.
Trump Entertainment fears underage students will sneak into the Taj Mahal to gamble and drink.
Icahn says he does not yet own the company and does not control its actions.
