Shamsidden Abdur-Raheem of Galloway Township is charged in the death of 3-month-old Zara Malani-Lin Abdur-Raheem.

The jury deliberated through late Thursday afternoon, after asking for clarifications on various charges throughout the day. It will resume its work Friday.

Prosecutors say Abdur-Raheem abducted his daughter from her maternal grandmother's East Orange apartment in February 2010, fled with the baby and tossed her from the Driscoll Bridge into the Raritan River.

The girl's mother had sole custody and had left the baby in her mother's care while she sought a restraining order against Abdur-Raheem.
