The judge on Monday also ordered Sgt. First Class Nadir Nassry to perform 75 hours of community service.

The 48-year-old Phillipsburg resident forfeited his job when he pleaded guilty to falsifying or tampering with records.

The 26-year veteran admitted using tape to change the license plate of his patrol vehicle to conceal his participation in last year's convoy, which reached speeds of 100 mph.

Another trooper who assisted has also forfeited his job and is awaiting enrollment in a program that could clear his guilty plea to record tampering.
