Earlier this year, Apple Inc. notified the New Jersey State Police that counterfeit Apple product components were being sold illegally in bodegas in Union City, N.J. and on the website www.muchbuy.com. During the investigation, detectives bought counterfeit electronic components that were being sold as legitimate Apple products.

A court authorized search warrant was executed at a warehouse rented by MuchBuy Incorporated at 174 West Westfield Avenue in Union City.  Authorities seized counterfeit trademarked electronic components falsely bearing Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Sony, Blackberry and HTC.

34 year old Mark Lin, owner of MuchBuy Inc., was arrested and charged with possession of trademark counterfeiting merchandise.  He was released pending a court appearance.
