Central Jersey Group V

At Rutgers

(7) Hunterdon Central 21, (1) Manalapan 0

Jason Cabinda ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns and Stephen Barr kicked a pair of field goals as Hunterdon Central (8-4) capped a stellar postseason run while ending Manalapan's state title hopes in the Central Jersey Group V final at Rutgers' High Point Solutions Stadium. The Red Devils out-gained the Braves 317-75 in handing Manalapan (11-1) its first loss.

Central Jersey Group IV

At The College of New Jersey

(1) Brick 26, (3) Colts Neck 15

The Green Dragons (9-3) captured their first state title since 1994 and their seventh in program history as junior quarterback Carmen Sclafani ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns and junior running back Ray Fattaruso scored the game-winning touchdown on a 2-yard run with 2:59 left in the game to deny the Cougars (10-2) their first state title.

Senior Mike Muratore added a 2-yard touchdown run with 1:12 left in the game to wrap up the win after Brick's defense stopped Colts Neck on downs at their own 16-yard line with the Green Dragons leading 19-15.

Junior quarterback Christian Sanchez had a 48-yard touchdown run and an 8-yard touchdown run in the loss for Colts Neck.

Central Jersey Group II

At Kean University

(1) Rumson-FH 14, (2) Weequahic 6

The Bulldogs (11-1) won their second state title in school history, their second in four seasons and their first since 2010 by knocking off the previously undefeated Indians (11-1) to set a single-season school record for wins.

Rumson never trailed in the game, taking a 7-0 lead on an 85-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Chase Caruso to senior wideout Sam Shaud to help take a 7-6 lead into the half. They extended the lead to 14-6 on a 3-yard touchdown run by junior tailback Charlie Volker with 2:08 left in the game. Weequahic drove down to their 21-yard line in the final seconds, but Rutgers-bound senior defensive end Donald Bedell came up with a game-ending sack to seal the win.

Central Jersey Group I

At The College of New Jersey

(3) Point Beach 12, (1) Shore 7

Junior running back Joe Wegrzyniak ran for 138 yards, including 108 in the second half, and Point Beach's  defense held Shore to 123 total yards to reverse a 31-point loss last week and bring home the program's first state sectional title.

Michael Fraunheim  ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the first quarter and Jake Fioretti added a four-yard score in the third quarter to give Point Beach a 12-0 lead. Shore scored late in the third quarter on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Matt Muh to Mike Moore.

South Jersey Group III 

At Rowan University

(4) Delsea 31, (3) Barnegat 7

Cinjun Erskine threw a fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Manny Bowen for the lone score for the Bengals (10-2), who ended the best season in program history with a loss to the Crusaders (10-2), who won their second straight state title.
