District Spokeswoman Paula Christen says a squirrel managed to sneak into a basement classroom through a window screen and jump on some children.

Christen says no one was injured but some second-graders at the James F. Murray No. 38 school were frightening when the animal jumped on them.

Christen says the animal landed one child's head, one's hand and another one's shoulder.

Frightened students were allowed to be picked up early by their parents.

Christen says the children were evacuated from the classroom and custodians managed to corner the animal and get him back outside.
