Spam-Blocking Group Reports Major Cyberattack
Computer security experts say there's been a record-breaking cyberattack -- targeting a group that works against email spam.
A site called Spamhaus says it's been hit by a huge denial-of-service attack since mid-March, apparently from groups that had been blacklisted by the anti-spam watchdog. One expert calls it the largest such attack that's been publicly disclosed in the history of the Internet.
Spamhaus keeps lists of sites that send spam, and the lists are constantly updated.
One expert warned that the electronic onslaught was affecting others across the Internet.
