My colleague Allison Gormly brought us a very special guest today in studio, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Angelica Jimenez from Hackensack, NJ.

While on duty in Fallujah, Iraq her seven ton transport truck was attacked by a suicide bomber. The explosion and fire killed three of her friends and fellow Marines. She was badly injured, burned throughout her body and spent at least a year hospitalized and going through rehabilitation.

This Marine didn't let the adversity stop her. She pushed through rehab and now teaches Zumba classes in Emerson New Jersey. She's an inspiration to veterans and others who face danger and tragedy yet find the inner strength to become a champion instead of a victim of circumstance.
