SOUTH PLAINFIELD — Police are looking for suspects who cut a padlock on a gate to steal a truck and trailer from a business on Metuchen Road.

Police say they are anxious to find the truck as it is the driver's "only means of income."

The truck was reported stolen late Sunday night. It is described as a 2011 Freightliner Cascadia with New Jersey license plates AS606L. According to police it has a 13 on the nose and EKONOKAR on the side and top of the cab.

While it has a New Jersey registration, police say it is supposed to be registered in Oklahoma with 9895LA plates. The truck, according to police, is carrying burlap cloth.

The South Plainfield Police Department asks anyone with information to contact Det. Joe Indano at 908-226-7663.
