South Carolina man struck by car dies after South Jersey accident
MOUNT LAUREL — A South Carolina man was one of several crossing Route 73 early Sunday morning when he was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer and eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Mount Laurel Police said the accident happened at 3:17 in the morning just south of Fellowship Road. The area has several hotels and restaurants near there and is also between the ramps for the New Jersey Turnpike and Interstate 295.
The man, later identified as 43-year-old Brian Paoletta of Moncks Corner South Carolina was taken to Virtua Marlton Hospital where he died. The Mount Laurel Police Department said the investigation is ongoing but that no charges are expected against the driver.
