I haven’t even heard of all these places, but I’ll assume the article’s legit. People in different cultures greet each other through a variety of unusual ways. Many of them involve touching other people’s skin. Among the Maori in New Zealand, a traditional greeting includes the rubbing of noses. Among the Inuits of Greenland, people greet each other by “pressing one’s nose and upper lip against another’s skin and then breathing on them.”
