Police say a 16-year-old picked the wrong CVS to rob at knifepoint Saturday.

When the teen entered the CVS in the Browns Mills section of Pembertown Township, a group of soldiers from the Army 372 MP Company were on their way out, police said.

The soldiers re-entered the store and confronted the teen when he demanded money from the cash register, police said. As the teen ran away on foot, the soldiers gave chase — and caught the teen, holding him until police could arrive, police said.

Two of the soldiers, who were on a Military Reserve weekend, are police officers from the District of Columbia and the Arundel County Sherriff’s in Maryland, police said.

The juvenile was placed in the Burlington County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of robbery, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
