An innocent tweet to the current Dancing With The Stars performer turned into a heated discussion over how people perceive her.

On Memorial Day weekend Snooki and Christie ran into each other following separate appearances on the Today show on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. In an exchange captured on video by the Asbury Park Press an unsmiling Snooki told Christie that she hoped he would “start to like us.” Christie responded, “Well, we’ll do our best.

After they parted ways, Snooki looked at the camera and said, “He just doesn’t like us.” Christie has called the show “bad for New Jersey” because of the partying and bad behavior shown on MTV’s Jersey Shore.

Polizzi later posted a picture of their meeting on the boardwalk on her Instagram page captioned it, “Getting told why we are bad for jersey. Amazing.”

During an interview with radio host Ed Schultz, Democrat Barbara Buono thinks Christie "“could audition as a member" of the Jersey Shore house. She thinks that Christie "sends a bad image" of the state.
