Small restaurant fire at Newark Airport extinguished

A small fire at a restaurant inside Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport was  put out Friday morning.

No flight delays were caused by the fire, which Port Authority Police say was confined to the Wabi Sabi restaurant. one of 55 eateries in the "United Experience" food court,

Port Authority Police say the terminal was briefly evacuated for smoke.There was no disruption to airport operations.

There were no injuries caused by the fire and no word on what started it.
