A signal problem has been repaired and train service has resumed  between New York and Philadelphia.

The problem was detected around 3 p.m. Tuesday. and halted service as the afternoon rush was about to begin.

NJ Transit reports service has been restored on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Raritan Valley Line with 20-30 minute delays.
