The weekend forecast worked out reasonably well.  We had a decent day on Saturday.

Sunday, though, there were more numerous showers in parts of the state, but not all. The south coastal communities and counties didn't have any rain, while some other spots had some heavy downpours not too far west of the parkway.

High temperatures yesterday reached 86 at Newark, but mostly 80 to 83 for Atlantic City, Trenton to Wrightstown, Burlington County.

Today we'll have the threat of some showers and thunderstorms, the more likely threat of some heavy downpours and more numerous showers will be near the Delaware River and 295 into parts of Central and North Jersey.

Again, as you head closer to south coast, there may be less in the amount of showers today. High temperatures in the low to middle 80s, at best.

There'll be the threat of off and on showers and thunderstorms for both Tuesday and probably Wednesday as well, although the activity will slowly start to diminish with time.
