Should you pay to sit on a red-flagged beach?

During my morning Dunkin Donuts run, I have the pleasure of seeing Adam Gordon’s parents – who customarily sit by the window enjoying their breakfast.

Today they just happen to mention visiting Point Pleasant, but not being able to go in the water because it was red-flagged – meaning no one is allowed in due to the undertow created by Hurricane Cristobal

College dorm move-in day: happy time or sad?

Move-in day always stirs up a bunch of mixed emotions.

Kids no longer kids, now moving into the “real world” – which for some might be just a vacation from mom and dad for the next 4 or so years; and non-stop partying

And most motorists can’t wait for that day to come.

Because of the efforts of Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon who’s been a tireless advocate for the beleaguered New Jersey driver in showing how just how the cameras rip us off, they will die

Poll: Nutella or peanut butter – which do you prefer?

When we were still living in Brooklyn, there was a little girl who went to school with my daughter.
Her parents, being from the “other side,” used to give her a big cup of “latt’ e’ café” ( a big cup of warm milk mixed with some espresso ) and a Nutella sandwich for breakfast

Papp’s Bowling Alley in Bordentown to close – is bowling a fading sport?

My dad was a decent bowler – probably in the 250 to 300 range I’d imagine.

He had a slew of trophies that he’d take home whenever he’d competed in leagues – and every once is a while, he’d take me along to watch

Poll: HS student arrested for mention of gun in assignment

This is how “out of whack” things are getting when it comes anything having to do with the mentioning, drawing, or mimicking of a gun.

And how even the mention of a gun is taken to such extremes that anyone uttering the forbidden word could face dire consequences
