Should You Breakup Before or After the Holidays? [Poll]

flickr/kusmierz

It’s that time of year again when it’s time to think of what to get your significant other for the holidays.  But what if the relationship is not going the way you’d like? The big question is do you break up before or after the holidays?

I say before…if it has to be done, hopefully the two of you had been communicating throughout the relationship and realize it’s not going in the right direction.  However, a lot of times the communication is lacking and the breakup may come as a surprise.  Regardless,  don’t put off the inevitable.  There is never a good time to break up with someone, and then what if  they buy you an expensive gift? How do you decide what to get them?  If you get something that is just ok and they get you something really nice, they will be hurt, but why spend lots of money when you know the relationship is coming to an end?

Then it’s New Years Eve and your significant other is looking forward to a perfect romantic night with you.  So while it may be lonely and upsetting for them during the holidays, at least you are giving them a chance to find a new date for New Years and move on with their life sooner than later.   What do you think? When is the right time to break up with someone?  Call me tonight at 1-800-283-1015.
