The current policy as it is written in the student handbook covers pagers as well as cell phones, which shows just how outdated the policy is.

Parents have countered that allowing students to have cell phones in schools would help get information out in a timely manner if an emergency situation occurs. While discussing the story on air, many callers seemed to agree that Vineland needs to change their policy and that as technology advances, the policies need to change with it.

What's your opinion? Should Vineland change their policies and allow students to bring cell phones to school?
