Should NJ McDonalds Have Shut Off Fox News For Customer?

A Fair Lawn, New Jersey McDonalds customer, Craig Lechner, was angered when the restaurant refused to turn off the TV that was playing Fox News Channel.

Mr. Lechner felt that the channel was inappropriate for his children, who were with him. According to a report, the manager refused, saying he enjoyed watching Fox News. After the manager refused the request, the customer started video-taping the encounter and sent it to the Huffington Post.

Should the manager have agreed to the customer’s request & shut off the TV? Or was the restaurant perfectly within its rights to show whatever it felt like and if the customer doesn’t like it, he had the right to leave? Leave your comments below.
