Supporters of this reform think that the economy would benefit from this change. Not only would it generate money for townships, but it would save money, because people would not be arrested for possessing the drug.

Not only would it have economic benefits, but it would help sick people who are denied medical marijuana.

Some argue that making marijuana legal would act as a gateway drug to more harmful substances.
