Should it be illegal to hold your cell phone while driving? – Poll
Steve Trevelise and Michele Pilenza, filling in for Dennis & Judi, were discussing their opinions regarding cell phone use while operating motor vehicles. This was in response to Somerset County's recent crackdown on cell phones, where officers issued 1,745 tickets from April 1 to 21.
While Steve and Michele both agreed that texting while driving is very dangerous and should not be tolerated, they argued that simply holding a phone should be allowed and engaging in conversation should be allowed. They also mentioned other distractions, such as drinking coffee and smoking, that are potentially more dangerous than holding a cell phone.
