Should Employers Be Allowed to View Your Facebook? [POLL]

Today the Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee  is considering whether or not businesses should be allowed to ask for your social media passwords, including Facebook. Assemblyman John Burzichelli has sponsored a bill that would make it illegal.

There are exemptions in Burzichelli’s legislation for law enforcement and any other job that already requires deep background checks.

Should employers have the right to ask your for your social media passwords just because they are offering you a position with them?
