Should Employers be Allowed to Perform Credit Checks? [POLL]

A New Jersey Bill would ban employers from being allowed to run credit checks on potential employees. Should employers be allowed to perform credit checks on potential employees? Is it fair or is that something that is private and potential employers have no business looking into this?
