Shot last year, Linden woman has gone missing after visiting Long Branch
Police are searching for a Linden woman who was shot by an unknown man in November and has now gone missing.
Tyrita Julius, 41, was last seen when she was dropped off at the Long Branch Train Station around 7 p.m. Tuesday night, according to the Linden Police Department. Julius had been visiting a friend and never arrived home, according to NJ Advance Media.
The Linden Police Department released a picture of Julius Friday on Facebook. She is 5'7" tall, weighs 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, according to the Facebook post.
Julius' friends told NJ Advance Media that she was still recovering from being shot in November. A man with a partially covered face fired at Julius' car after speaking with her 15-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in the vehicle and was grazed by a bullet, according to NJ Advance Media.
Police have not made any arrests in that case and friends are concerned her disappearance could be connected to the shooting, according to the NJ Advance Media report.
The Linden Police Department is asking that anyone with information call Detective Kenneth Mikolajczyk at 908-482-2512.
