Top-ranked Syracuse opens Big East play Wednesday night at home against Seton Hall.

The Pirates stunned the Orange 90-68 a year ago in the Carrier Dome. They are 11-1 and have won eight in a row. This is their best start since the 1992-93 season when they won the conference championship.

Syracuse is 13-0 and ranked No. 1 for the third straight week.

Seton Hall is led by Herb Pope, who's averaging 20.3 points and 11.4 rebounds. He has a strong supporting cast in Jordan Theodore, Fuquan Edwin and Patrik Auda. Aaron Cosby is making 41 percent of his 3-pointers.
