SEPTA Worker Burned On Top Of Train In West Trenton
A SEPTA inspector on top of a train parked at the West Trenton station was shocked and burned as he worked early Monday morning.
The 49-year-old man suffered 3rd degree burns in what witnesses describe to WPVI TV as a fireball. The train had to be de-energized as rescue crews worked carefully to work from a high angle to remove the man from the top of the train.
It took an hour to remove the man and airlift him to the Saint Barnabas Medical Center's burn unit in Livingston.
The incident did not interrupt train service.
