The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority announced Tuesday that a one-day lottery will be held Monday, Aug. 3 for passes on SEPTA's regional rail system.

Officials are emphasizing that customers will be able to enter their requests anytime during that day, so there will be no reason to rush immediately to the site after midnight.

Overwhelming demand forced a halt to the sale of the passes last month.

The one-day passes are $10 each, limited in number and required for travel on Regional Rail during the papal visit September 26th and 27th. Each person selected in the lottery will be able to purchase 10 tickets for each day.
