The first incident involved an oversize piece of luggage that was not inspected properly around 6:30AM but was still loaded onto a United flight according to WABC TV. The bag was recovered by TSA and a bomb squad unit by 9:30AM.

A passenger who slipped through security without being properly screened caused a lockdown in the terminal.
