Police Chief Ed Preston says firefighters handled eight trash bin fires and seven street blazes over the weekend.

Twenty-year-old Kyle Whelan of Seaville, N.J., was cited for underage drinking and for throwing a couch into a fire.

Twenty-year-old Mark Euga Jr. of Lutherville-Timonium, Md., was also cited for throwing combustible items into a fire and underage consumption.

And 21-year-old Justin Myers of South Charleston was cited for throwing combustible material into a third fire.

Interim Dean of Students Corey Farris says only Euga is a current student. Neither Whelan nor Myers was registered for the fall or spring semesters.

Euga could be disciplined under rules for student conduct.
