Seaside Boardwalk Fire: Facebook and Twitter Reactions
The scars of Superstorm Sandy aren’t even healed and now the community of Seaside Heights and Seaside Park have to deal with an enormous fire that engulfed a large chunk of the boardwalk and the businesses located there. Many NJ101.5 listeners, Twitter followers and Facebook fans took to social media to express their feelings both of heartache and in some cases, controversial.
Here’s a look at some of the reaction we received tonight on our social media pages:
Barbara Sigley Silva:
As a victim of Sandy as well as others, this just frigging breaks my heart, so devastating. Prayers for all……
So sad I pray for everyone so heartbreaking so much hard work gone
Except in the pic that structure didn’t collapse yet it’s now gone! So heartbreaking
I think about the 80s on the boardwalk and never thought about the devastation Sandy brought and now this happens. This sucks
Prayers to the people of Seaside Heightz.
How much more can the Jersey Shore take???
Again, so sorry about the fire that has ruined all the rebuilt businesses after Sandy. Our thoughts are with all of the residents that are once again going to be robbed of their much beloved family seaside entertainment. This is just so unfair!
This is New Jersey. As soon as this is over, we will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back to work. http://t.co/lFuGmjZs1y

Not everyone’s messages were so positive though. What do you make of this comment on Facebook? Given the circumstances and the emotions of the day, was a comment like this totally out of line?
It’s very sad but also a wake up call from our Lord. You can’t go around glamorizing drinking and sexual behavior on TV and think there’s no consequences. Hopefully this will be a road to salvation for the lost.
