VINELAND (AP) — A South Jersey school security guard fired over Facebook posts that used the phrase "black thug" to describe suspects accused of killing a police officer will be reinstated under the terms of a settlement.

The Vineland Daily Journal reports
Mary Czaplinski will return to her job on Sept. 1 as part of a settlement between her and Vineland school officials. The school board approved the agreement last week.

The settlement says Czaplinski's personnel file will reflect a suspension without pay running from March 27 to June 30. Pending litigation will also be dismissed.

Court documents say Czaplinski used the phrase "black thug" to describe the suspects after the shooting in Philadelphia and suggested "all white people should start riots and protests and scare the hell out of them."
