Two students were injured when a school bus and a car collided in southern New Jersey.

RELATED:

Middle Township police say a car driven by 83-year-old Thomas D'Arcy of Cape May Court House ran a red light and hit the bus around 12:40 p.m. Monday. The bus was carrying 16 students at the time.

Two 13-year-old students were injured in the crash and were being treated at a hospital. One student suffered a neck injury, while the other youth hurt his arm.

Neither D'Arcy nor the bus driver were hurt in the accident. The other students on the bus were not hurt and were taken to their school on another bus.

D'Arcy was issued a summons for disregarding a red light.
