Sandy-Affected NJ Couple Gives Son “Hurricane” Middle Name
A New Jersey shore couple whose home was flooded and destroyed by hurricane-turned-superstorm Sandy have given their new son a fitting name: Carson Hurricane Turner.
Debbie Turner tells The Star-Ledger she had planned to give her second child the middle name of Joseph.
But she says since he went through the stress of the storm and "still stayed in there," she decided to change it to Hurricane.
The son of Debbie and Joe Turner also has a memorable birthdate: 12-12-12.
Debbie Turner says the hospital was starting to plan the C-section for Dec. 11 when she asked it be switched to Dec. 12.
A spokesman at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune says Carson Hurricane Turner arrived at 12:12 p.m.
