As we look back on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK, a documentary, narrated by Dan Rather, shows the decision by then NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle to play the NFL games that were scheduled for that weekend.

In the documentary, former NFL players like Mike Ditka, Rosie Grier and Jerry Kramer all discussed what they, their teammates and coaches were thinking and feeling during that weekend as the country laid their President to rest.

Rozelle, before he passed in 1996, even said that allowing the games to go on that weekend is the single biggest regret he has ever had.
