Route 9 reopened in South Amboy after a 3-truck accident with fuel leak
Route 9 southbound in South Amboy is reopened following an accident involving three trucks early Friday afternoon.
The accident also closed the ramp from the southbound Garden State Parkway to Route 9 at Exit 123 which remained closed as of 2:30 p.m.
Sayreville police said one of the trucks was leaking fuel.
The accident is at Bordentown Avenue, just south of the Parkway.
Police did not know if anyone was injured or what led to the accident.
NJ Transit said that buses using Route 9 in that area will be delayed.
