Commuters will have a tough time getting around a major road closure in Bridgewater during the Friday morning commute.

Bridgewater Police said Route 202/206 southbound remained closed as of 6:45 a.m. between Route 22 and Route 28 at the Somerville Circle because of an overnight accident that also took down a utility pole. Police said that PSE&G was working to replace the utility pole.

"Today is a great day for an impromptu tour of Bridgewater," said New Jersey Fast Traffic's Bob Williams. "You'll have to go onto Route 22, exit onto Country Club Road and then head back to Route 28. This closure is at a major merge point for three different roads which will have a widespread impact."

Williams said to estimate having an extra 10 to 15 minutes added to your commute.
