ROSELLE — Following the shooting of a Newark man, police have identified and charged the suspect with murder and other charges, and are seeking the public's help locating the man.

In addition to being charged with murder, Nathaniel Price, 25, also faces weapons charges for his role in the death of 21-year-old Tyquan Johnson. Police responded to a call on the 1000 block of Rivington Street early Saturday morning where Johnson was found having suffered "multiple gunshot wounds." He was taken to University Hospital in Newark where he was declared dead later in the day.

The investigation is being conducted by the Union County Homicide Task Force, the Roselle Police Department, the Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit, and the Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge about the shooting or the whereabouts of Price to call Homicide Task Force Sgt. Jose Vendas at 908-358-3048, or Det. Nelson Costa at 908-337-0807.

A reward of up to $10,000 is also being offered by the Union County Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case. Tips can be provided anonymously by calling 908-654-TIPS, or texting UCTIP and a message to 274637.
