Mitt Romney is lashing out at President Barack Obama's health care overhaul ahead of this week's Supreme Court ruling.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee tells Virginia supporters Tuesday that Obama's first term will be wasted should the high court strike down the law. And if upheld, Romney says Americans will need a president like him to stop the law dubbed "Obamacare" on "day one."

Romney's comments come two days before the Supreme Court is set to decide the constitutionality of the health care law. The election year ruling could have a big impact on the presidential contest and the lives of millions of Americans.

Romney has promised to replace the law with common-sense reforms, but his campaign has spent little time so far crafting a comprehensive plan.
