This week, we brought you the story of a quick-thinking store clerk and a slow-reacting police force. A cell phone store in Paterson was being robbed by two men, one with a gun.

According to NorthJersey.com, the store clerk had the presence of mind to sneak out the back door and pull and lock a security gate. He then sprinted to the front and secured that gate as well, leaving only the two robbers inside trapped like desperate animals.

All would have been fine if the Paterson police hadn't taken 45 minutes to get there after multiple 911 calls. The robbers had time to find a way to break out a small side window.

Check out the circus that broke out in front of the store in the meantime as a crowd gathered to taunt the trapped thugs. It's not every day you get to see something like this.

Too bad they still managed to get away.
