Roast of Vini Mad Dog Lopez raises money for good cause
It was a great night for the Asbury Park music scene Thursday when Rock n Roll Hall of Fame drummer Vinie “Mad Dog” Lopez was roasted by some of his closest friends in music, radio, and pro football.
Yours truly was among the roasters along with New Jersey 101.5’s Big Joe Henry, Oakland Raiders linebacker Phil Villapiano, comedian Mike ‘Jersey Bad Boy' Marino, and musicians, Bobby Bandiera, Sonny Kenn, Paul Whistler, Jon Sebestian Brice and Lance Larson from the Wonder Bar. There were stories mixed with insults (including some from myself) and a great jam session afterwards. It was all for a great cause as the proceeds went to the Light of Day Foundation
Big Joe Henry and I even took a selfie to remember the occasion.
