Friday was a pretty huge day for me - I graduated college! Last week, I told Dennis and Judi that I was planning to decorate the mortar board on my graduation cap, as many students do. I was very happy with the finished product, and saw some awesome caps from my classmates as well.

As you can probably tell, I like things that sparkle. Judi said it best when she called me a '4th Grader.' Even though I'm now a college graduate, I still am a giant kid at heart. I chose to decorate my cap with a quote from the movie 'Tangled,' a Rapunzel scrapbook sticker, and lots of rhinestones. I made sure to put the station name on the cap to celebrate where my life is heading now that college is over. The year 2013 is in the lower right because I actually finished schooling in December of 2013.

I wasn't the only one who got creative with their cap! A bunch of my friends tailored their caps to match their personalities. Some students themed their caps around their major, some acknowledged a fraternity or sorority they belong to. Many used their caps as a way to thank their parents for their education. Other graduates simply just had fun with decorating.

Check out the gallery below to see some of the most awesome graduation caps from the day.

One of the highlights of the weekend came the day after the ceremony. On Saturday, a friend had texted me to let me know that my friends and I had made the cover of The Trenton Times! A photographer had captured a picture of my friends Jim, Andrew, Sabrina and me taking a selfie before we had to walk into the ceremony. We had no clue that anyone had captured the moment until we saw the article.

Overall, I had an unforgettable weekend. I had an amazing time with my friends and family, and it was nice to feel one with my class for one last time. College was such a wonderful time in my life, and I can't believe how quickly these past four years flew by. I am so thankful for all of the support my friends, family, and coworkers from NJ101.5 have given me.
