Ahhhh....the dreams of a comfortable retirement. Well, maybe not.

Forget those long afternoons of golf or kicking back at the lake house -- many baby boomers now plan to log more hours at the office amid renewed worries about money. Experts say a comfortable retirement is still possible, but you have to be smart about it...now.

An Associated Press-LifeGoesStrong.com poll finds a baby boom generation planning to work into retirement years -- with 73 percent planning to work past retirement, up from 67 percent this spring.

A majority of boomers also feel shaky about their nest eggs. In all, 53 percent of boomers polled said they do not feel confident they'll be able to afford a comfortable retirement. That's up from 44 percent who were concerned about retirement finances in March. The poll also found 41 percent of boomers saying they expect to have to scale back their lifestyle in some way in retirement.

The choices you are making about your retirement plans now, are going to have a profound impact on not just when you can retire, but IF.
