One person was recovered, and authorities were searching for another after a canoe capsized in White Meadow Lake in Rockaway Township early Sunday  morning.

Several boats and rescue craft on the lake and a State Police helicopter could be seen in pictures posted to the White Meadow Lake Matters Facebook page.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Rockaway Township police were dispatched to the lake at about 3 a.m. after multiple 911 calls about the canoe. One adult male has been recovered and transported to St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, and has since been released, the office said.

Authorities were still looking for the second adult male as of late morning.

The prosecutor's office said it was not releasing the names of the individuals, and that there was no indication of any threat to the community.

White Meadow Lake is a section of Rockaway in Morris County. The lake of the same name,with marinas, a beach and country club, is owned and maintained by the White Meadow Lake Property Owners Association and Country Club, according to the association website.
