Two killed in head-on East Brunswick crash

EAST BRUNSWICK — A head-on crash claimed two lives and closed Ryders Lane on Tuesday morning.

Township police said Tahir Syed, 46, of the Somerset section of Franklin, was pronounced dead at the scene on Ryder Lane just south of Tices Lanes while Dennis Moshkov, 42, of East Brunswick, was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

The road remained closed of between Milltown Road and Tices for the morning commute and re-opened at 9:30 a.m. The road crosses over the New Jersey Turnpike and is used by many drivers to avoid Route 18.

Police asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call 732-390-6969.
