CLEMENTON — Five people were struck by a car outside a South Jersey park on Monday night.

6 ABC Action News reported the incident took place around 9 p.m. on East Atlantic Ave at Terrace Avenue across from Clementon Park, a wooded residential area. Police said the driver of the car remained on scene.

Sgt. Robert Worrick told NJ.com that the some of the group were related and age 4-32 and none was seriously injured.

The driver was not intoxicated and the incident appeared to be accidental, according to the report.

At least three of those hit were children, according to CBS Philly.

Clementon Police have not yet returned a message.
