The Press of Atlantic City says Andrew Biddle was reported missing on July 20 after his pontoon boat hit rocks in Longport.

The Atlantic County prosecutor’s office tells the newspaper Biddle has been indicted on three counts of theft by deception for allegedly taking boats in trade and re-selling them without paying off the loans.

The Press reports a flier circulated among law enforcement agencies says the 45-year-old Biddle is believed to have staged the accident. Egg Harbor Township police say they are investigating Biddle’s whereabouts.

State Police also are searching for Biddle in relation to the accident.
