Remains Identified As Missing Gloucester County Woman Carol Reiff

The remains of a woman found in the woods in off Route 42 in Gloucester County on Monday have positively been identified as Carol Reiff.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office used dental records to make the identification on the 59-year-old woman after an autopsy proved inconclusive due to the decay of her body. A cause of death has not yet been determined; the case is considered a criminal investigation.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that would help determine how Reiff died by the Citizens Crime Commission. To be eligible for the reward, tips must be called to 215-546-TIPS.

Reiff was last heard from by relatives on Thursday when she told them she was going Manahawkin to visit family. Her car was later found in front of her Lakeview Avenue apartment.
