High temperatures yesterday reached no better than 77 in Atlantic City, 76 Newark.

We had some heavy showers during the overnight hours in parts of the state, mostly in Central and North Jersey.

During the course of the day today, there'll be a few showers and possibly even a brief thunderstorm moving through, with humidity.  Highs will be in the 70s, probably no better than the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.  Coolest temps will be near the ocean.

A few showers may still be around tonight.  High school football games that are being played tonight may have some issues with that.  Statewide lows from cooler 56 to 64 by morning.

Saturday looks fine with a mix of clouds and sun.  Cooler, less humid highs will be around 70 or so Saturday afternoon.

I've included the chance for a few morning showers in parts of the state on Sunday.  I don't know whether that's going to happen or not. It's a chance only.  Then partly cloudy with some highs Sunday in the low 70s.

Have a good weekend.
